Section One: Administrivia
1. What is the purpose of the mailing list?
The Torg mailing list provides a forum for the discussion of the Torg roleplaying game, published by West End Games. Because their mechanics are derived from Torg, WEG's Shatterzone and Masterbook RPGs may also be discussed on the list (though it's rare.)
2. Is there any relationship with the Usenet newsgroup alt.games.torg ?
At one time there was, the newsgroup and the mailing list cross-posted to each other. But the ever-increasing problem of spam on Usenet led to the end of this practice. While a couple people on the mailing list do keep an eye out for on-topic posts in the newsgroup, very little discussion occurs there anymore.
3. How do I subscribe to the mailing list?
Subscribing is now handled by filling out a form on the mailing list's webpage.
4. How do I unsubscribe from the mailing list?
Unsubscribing is also performed now through the mailing list's webpage.
5. Where can I get information about the Japanese language Torg mailing list?
Information about the Japanese mailing list is available at their website .
6. Does the mailing list have an archive?
Yes, the archive is located on the same server as the mailing list. It can be found here.
7. Who do I contact if I'm having trouble with the mailing list?
The list administrator can be reached at torg-owner@justintimeadventures.com .
8. What other resources are there on the Internet for Torg?
A list of Torg websites can be found here . Additional sites can also be found on the Torg webring . PDF versions of the original Infiniverse newsletter are once again available at West End Games' website here .
Are there any Torg games running online?
There are a couple of online games, but openings are infrequent and usually fill quickly. It never hurts to ask on the mailing list if a game is running and if anyone has an opening, but don't get your hopes up.
