Driving up US 395 through Owens Valley. This is the view of Mt. Whitney from
close to Lone Pine. It is probably taken from very near where Ansel Adams'
famous "Winter Sunrise, Sierra Nevada from Lone Pine, California (1944)"
photo was taken. I grabbed my camera as we drove past. He spent days
waiting for perfect conditions. The difference shows.
Of course, there's skill too....
