Description: gives character a limited flight ability

    The character is able to move vertically at a speed value equal to the Effect Value minus the character's weight value (typically 10).  Horizontal movement is normally limited to a maximum of one meter per round (speed value 0).  For faster horizontal movement, take the desired speed value, multiply by three and add to the Psi Strain Rating.  (Example: 10 meters a round is a speed value of 5 so +15 to Psi Strain Rating.)  The horizontal speed value can never be higher than the maximum vertical speed value allowed by the Effect Value.

Suggested Enhancements and Limitations: The Improved Control Enhancement can be used to allow for greater horizontal speeds. The Reduced Control Limitation could be used to eliminate horizontal movement and leave only vertical movement.

Description: creates a psychic wave of telekinetic force

    The character can create a telekinetic wind with a speed in kilometers per hour equal to the Effect Value (so an EV of 20 would be a 20 kph wind.)  The area of effect is normally a narrow cone with a maximum width equal to one-tenth of the Base Range.   The width can be increased to a maximum equal to the Base Range by adding the value of the Base Range on the Torg Value Chart to the Psi Strain Rating.  (Example: if Base Range is 18 meters, that's a value of 7 on the Value Chart so +7 Psi Strain to increase the cone's width up to 18 meters.)
    The Strength value of the wind is found by converting it through the Torg Value chart. The Strength can be compared to the weight value (or Effect Value of defensive abilities such as Mental Anchor) of objects to see if it can move them, and how far.  Subtract an object's weight value from its Strength  value and read the result points on the Torg Value Chart to see how far the object is blown by the wind.

    Example: A character wishes to use Psychic Wind to blow over a mailbox, which the GM has determined weighs 20 kilograms, a weight value of  7. The player elects to try an Effect Value of 15 and see if that is sufficient. The wind will therefore have a speed of 15 kph. The GM consults the Torg Value Chart; a measure of 15 has a value of 6 and the conversion from KPH is +2, so the wind has a speed and Strength value of 8. This is higher than the mailbox's weight value so it will be enough to blow it over.  How far does the wind blow it?  Its weight value of 7 is subtracted from the wind's Strength of 8, giving a distance value of 1, which has a measure of 1.5.  The mailbox tips over and skids a meter and a half down the sidewalk.
   
Suggested Enhancements and Limitations: The Improved Control or Area Effect Enhancments can be used to modify the default size of the cone produced by the power. The Reduced Control Limitation can be used to increase the difficulty of or remove the ability to change the width of the cone.

    The Effect Value is the weight in kilograms that can be moved plus the speed in meters per round that it can be moved.  (Example: moving a 5 kg object at a top speed of 5 meters a round requires an Effect Value of 10.)

Suggested Enhancements and Limitations: The Improved Control Enhancement can give the character the ability to make very fine manipulations with Telekinesis, such as picking a lock telekinetically. The Unreliable Limitation is a staple of the genre.
